Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request for Preliminary Plat Approval of Centex Addition; ~Case of Centex <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting-at 7:12 <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7'::12' p.m.'-- <br /> <br />Pres entation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that the Planning Commissio~irecommended <br />preliminary plat approval of Option-B, which was presented to the City'Counci~i on August 28, <br />2001 for approval. At that time, the CityAtt°rney advised the City Council that an additional <br />public hearing to receive comment on ail versiOns of the preliminary pt-at under consideration <br />might be appropriate. The City Council directed stafftO, s~ghedul'e and advertise the public <br />hearing for September 11, 2001. .-. <br />Citizen Input -. i'' .~ ..... i -- ,i <br />Dan Blake, Centex Homes, presented a plat which proposed a transition strip on the eastern and <br />western edge of the development. He explaiiied.-that the transition strip would be a primary <br />structure restriction zone and include preserving any trees along the perimeter. <br /> <br />Community DeVelopment DireC~oi,!.F~81ik reviewed the park dedication agreement that was <br />agreed to by the Park Commission. <br /> <br />Dan Nelson, 15420 ute .Skeet, Ramsey, stated that he has one of the most impacted homes by <br />the development He stated 'that he is a new resident of Ramsey and is very frustrated with the <br />notification process because he has not received one notification in regards to the development <br />even after requesting to be notified. He explained that he purchased his home because it was on <br />a cul-de-sac andhe hopes that the City requires some kind of transitiorfing so that the value of his <br />home does norg0 down. He requested that Ute Street stay a cul-de-sac noting that Centex has <br />indicated that it would not have a big impact on the development. Mr. Nelson stated that he <br />understandg that the development will occur, but would like to see some type of transitioning so <br />thatthe development does not look awkward. His final concern had to do with a park and bike <br />paths.
