Term limits <br /> <br />Members of City boards and commissions can serve a total of two consecutive four-year <br />terms of office, in addition to any partial term the individual has been appointed to fulfill <br />for a predecessor. Individuals may apply to a different commission immediately upon <br />reaching the terrn limit on one commission. Individuals may reapply to the origirnal <br />commission, following the normal application process, only after being off the <br />commission for at least one four-year tenn. ~ <br /> <br />5. The chair of the applicable commission or board, as a <br />member of the evaluation panel, will notify the board or commission of the City <br />Council's.decision and the rationale for the decision. <br /> <br />If the commissioner or board member does not request reappointment, or if City Council <br />chooses not to reappoint, the expected vacancy will be advertised and the normal <br />application/appointment process followed. <br /> <br />6. Stipends for members of City boards and commissions <br /> <br />* Ordinance #9%10 amended City Code 2.03.02 changing terms of office for boards and commissions from two <br />years to four years and establishing a limitation of two consecutive four-year terms, effective August 11, 1997.
