Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #01-10-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #01-32, CONSTRUCTION OF AZURITE STREET NW <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on September 25, 2001, City Council adopted Resolution #01-09-342 <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #01-32, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following is a summary the six lowest quotes that were received: <br /> <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Richard Knutson, Inc. <br />Erickson Construction <br />R.P. Utilities, Inc. <br />Viet & Company <br />Volk Sewer and Water <br />Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. <br /> <br />$311,633.05 <br />$323,310.11 <br />$335,696.13 <br />$335,8O6.00 <br />$337,920.95 <br />$343,591.25 <br /> <br />Engineers Estimate <br /> <br />$325,000.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Richard Knutson, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator.are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Richard Knutson, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />construction of Improvement Project #01-32 in the amount of $311,633.05. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> <br />
