We truly appreciate your support and look forward to many more years of service. The purpose of <br />th/s letter is to offer a proposal that renews and continues our relationship. <br /> <br />Our service record on the streets of Ramsey and commitment to your community is without match. Our <br />tenure in Ramsey combined with low employee turnover in our organization make our people the best <br />choice for you. We know Ramsey. A change in service providers will result in more calls to city hall <br />and confusion on the streets and in city hall. Other contractors may appear to offer a slightly lower rate, <br />but only Ace Solid Waste can offer the record of service in Ramsey. <br /> <br />In December 2000, we moved our operation to Ramsey. Despite some initial (and reasonable) questions <br />regarding our operation, the City was very supportive of our project. The facility is now one of the best in <br />Ramsey and a shining example of people doing what they said they would do. In addition, we <br />are an immediate (no tifor other support) taxable asset in the community. <br /> <br />As to the curbside recycling services contract. Essentially, the most recent contract has been for three <br />years (including renewals) and is set to expire at the end of 2001. Our current rate is $1.78 per home per <br />month. The attached rate survey was recently completed by Anoka County and shows the rate to be <br />competitive. <br /> <br />Based on this information, Ace Solid Waste proposes a three year renewal term at the fixed rate of $1.78 <br />per home per month. Again, as a member of the community, we will absorb any increased costs and <br />continue to protect the City fi-om the commodity revenue/cost roller coaster. <br /> <br />Obviously, the opportunity to renew and continue to service the City of Ramsey is a matter of pride to us. <br />Please call me if you have any questions.
