Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #11-01- A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO OPERATE A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION IN THE R-1 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT WHEREAS, Cross of Hope Lutheran Church (the "Permittee") has properly applied for a Conditional Use Permit (the "Permit") to operate a church on the property generally known as 5730 179th Lane NW, and legally described as: The west 10 acres of the east 20 acres of Lot 1 Auditors Subdivision No. 27, except part platted as Garden of Hope, also except road, subject to easement of record, Anoka County, Minnesota -and- The east 10 acres of Lot 1 Auditors Subdivision No. 27, subject to easement of record, Anoka County, Minnesota -Or upon recording - Lot 1, Block 1, Cross of Hope Addition (the "Subject Property"); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission met on November 4, 2010 and conducted a public hearing and recommended City Council approve the request. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That this Permit shall be perpetual in its duration so long as the conditions imposed herein are complied with. 2. That the permitted uses on the site shall be limited to a religious institution and its associated activities. 3. That this Permit shall remain in effect for all of the Subject Property. The ability to expand the site operation shall exempt the Permittee from requiring Permit amendments for expansions of the church facility. The Permittee shall not be exempted from meeting any other applicable City Code and Building Code requirements including, but not limited to, site plan and building permit review. 4. That, with regard to the site plan and minor plat applications, the B-1 Business standards shall be utilized in reviewing the application.
