Street N.W., which is proposed to be extended from north boundary of Apple Ridge to the north boundary of the proposed River Pines 5% This street extension plan will alleviate a major issue for the Public Works Department. Because the March 2001 draft Comprehensive Plan has not been adopted by the City Council, approval of the requested rezoning will have to be conditioned on an amendment to the current Comprehensive Plan to expand the MUSA boundary to include the subject property. The Planning Commission met on September 10, 2001 and conducted a public hearing regarding the proposed rezoning. There were no written comments submitted to the City and there was one resident present at the hearing that opposed the rezoning. Another resident wanted to be sure that future access was planned to the north. Recommendation: The Planning Commission recommended that City Council approve the rezoning request contingent upon the required comprehensive plan amendment to expand the MUSA boundary. Council Action: Motion to adopt Resolution #01-11- adopting Findings of Fact #~ relating to a request from Oakwood Land Development to rezone certain property in Section 14 from R-1 Rural Residential to R-1 Urban Residential. -and- Motion to introduce Ordinance #01-__ to rezone certain property in Section 14 from R-1 Rural Residential to R-1 Urban Residential, based on the Findings of Fact and contingent upon an approved Comprehensive Plan amendment to include the subject property in the MUSA. -or- Motion to deny the request to rezone certain property in Section 14 from R-1 Rm'al Residential to R-I Urban Residential, based on the Findings of Fact.
