A map was shown illustrating the area surrounding the Boy
Scout Camp as well as some testimony from the Boy Scout Camp that was presented in March of
1995 before the future crossing was removed from the City of Ramsey's Comprehensive Plan.
Discussion ensued regarding the possibility of reintroducing the future bridge crossing and it was
the decision of the Public Works Committee to discuss the matter further when the City's of
Andover, Anoka and Ramsey sit down for an upcoming joint City Council meeting.

Council Action:

No action required

Case #2: Request for Stop Sign at 145th Lane NW and Tungsten Way

The Committee was presented the current traffic conditions at the intersection of 145th Lane NW
and Tungsten Way. The conditions do not warrant the installation of an all-way stop condition as
requested. Staff recommended against the installation of all-way stop sign as requested and the
Committee concurred.

Council Action:

Motion to ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee and direct Staff to deny the
request to install ail-way stop signs at the intersection of 145th Lane NW and Tungsten Way.

Review by:

City Administrator
Public Works Director

CC: 11/13/01

G:\users\City Shared File\l ublic Works Department\Committees\Public Works Committee\CasesL2001\Council Update\cc 10.16.01.doc

/$

-229-
