Application may be made to the Police Department <br />to grant hunting or target shooting privileges. Permits will be issued at the discretion of the Chief of Police. <br />• All permittees hunting or target shooting within the City of Ramsey must be in accordance with Minnesota State law <br />and Department of Natural Resources regulations, including all licenses and gun safety courses if applicable. <br />• When hunting deer, hunters may only shoot from an elevated stand at least six (6) feet above ground, with all shots to <br />be fired downward from the stand. <br />• Hunters shall not travel off the permitted land to retrieve or "track" any game. <br />• Permits for hunting will be issued only for the period of the current State of Minnesota hunting seasons. <br />• Permits for target shooting must be renewed annually. <br />The following information must be attached to completed application: <br />1. Property Diagram, to include location of all buildings, roadways, waterways, hunting stands and target <br />locations. <br />2. Copy of "Hunting Notification Letter" or "Target Shooting Notification Letter" distributed to all affected <br />neighbors, to include a list of recipients and their addresses. <br />3.
