Application may be made to the Police Department to grant hunting or target shooting privileges. Permits will be issued at the discretion of the Chief of Police. • All permittees hunting or target shooting within the City of Ramsey must be in accordance with Minnesota State law and Department of Natural Resources regulations, including all licenses and gun safety courses if applicable. • When hunting deer, hunters may only shoot from an elevated stand at least six (6) feet above ground, with all shots to be fired downward from the stand. • Hunters shall not travel off the permitted land to retrieve or "track" any game. • Permits for hunting will be issued only for the period of the current State of Minnesota hunting seasons. • Permits for target shooting must be renewed annually. The following information must be attached to completed application: 1. Property Diagram, to include location of all buildings, roadways, waterways, hunting stands and target locations. 2. Copy of "Hunting Notification Letter" or "Target Shooting Notification Letter" distributed to all affected neighbors, to include a list of recipients and their addresses. 3.
