The remaining .75 cents went to the school district, county and special taxing districts. For this .25 <br />cents the city provided police and fire selwices, street and park maintenance and a variety of other <br />services. <br /> <br />The proposed tax capacity rate for 2002, combined with the proposed amounts from the other taxing <br />districts, would cause the city to receive approximately .36 cents for every $1.00 of property taxes <br />collected. This .3~ cents will provide a higher level of police and fire services, street and park <br />maintenance and a variety of other services.
