-68- <br /> <br />Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #01-12- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION IDENTIFYING FINDINGS AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO <br />SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 13, 2001, the City of Ramsey received a request for an <br />amendment to the Comprehensive Plan from Eight Seven LLC (the Applicants) for the purpose <br />of amending the land use designation of the following legally described property: <br /> <br />Outlot A, Brandseth Addition, Anoka CounW, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the Subject Property) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan Amendment approved in 1995 identifies the <br />Subject Property's designated land use as commercial; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on December 4, 2001, conducted a <br />public hearing, and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an <br />amendment to the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, . the property has been designated for commercial uses since the 1980 <br />Comprehensive Plan and has not yet been developed with commercial uses; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has determined that changing the land use designation to medium <br />density residential will be beneficial to the City as a whole. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves changing the land use designation of the <br /> Subject Property from Commercial to Medium Density Residential. <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary <br /> documents to Metropolitan CounciI for an amendment to the 1995 Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of <br /> notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember __ <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
