-80- WHEI~AS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on November 5, 2001, conducted a public hearing, and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the property has been designated for com.mercial uses since the I980 Comprehensive Plan and has not yet been developed for commercial uses; and WHEREAS, the city has determined that changing the land use designation to medium density residential is beneficial to the City as a whole. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, AJ.NOIC~k COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City, Council hereby approves changing the land use designation of the Subject Property from Commercial to Medium Density Residential. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes City Staff to submit the necessary documentation to Metropolitan Council for an amendment to the 1995 Comprehensive Plan to designate the Subject Property as medium density residential. 3) That this land use change shall become effective concurrent with the City's receipt of notification of approval from Metropolitan Council. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember .... and upon vote being taken thereon, the fbllowing voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the __ day of ,2001.
