CASE # <br /> <br />STAR EXHIBITS DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br />By: James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Star Exhibits and Environments of Brooklyn Center have agreed to move their operation to <br />Ramsey's Sunfish Business Park, formerly Waste Management property (letter fi.om Star <br />Exhibits attached). Star Exhibits and Envkonments is a trade show exifibits manufacturing and <br />installation company that currently emplos;s approximately 80 employees and would operate <br />with over 100 in their new facility. The company plans to construct a 185,000 square foot <br />facility that could be expanded in the future. Description of the company's history and some of <br />their products are discussed in the attached materials. <br /> <br />A tour of Star Exhibit's current facility in Brooklyn Center is scheduled for Friday, September <br />21, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. The City Council and EDA are invited to attend the tour.
