CASE <br /> <br /> DARKENWALD PRO3ECT UPDATE <br />By: James E. Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Staff discussed the property owned by Darkenwaid, which is located immediately to the east of <br />the Elk River boundary, north of Highway #10. During the August EDA meeting~ staff <br />discussed the possibility of a mechanical company building a new facility of the property. <br /> <br />Staff has le~trned over the past month that a second retail and a retail/warehouse operation is also <br />interested in building on the project site. The EDA recommended that City Council authorize <br />staff to begin negotiations with the property owner adjacent to Highway #10.
