CHARTER COMMISSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey Charter Commission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, February 15, 2001, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. Members Present: Chairperson Keith Kiefer Commissioner Barry Childs Commissioner Dennis Donovan Commissioner Marguerite Henke Commissioner Hannah LaMere Commissioner Richard Netzioff Commissioner Timothy Vogt Members Absent: Commissioner Kathy Rosenow ' Commissioner Virginia Spain Brist Also Present: City Administrator James E. Norman Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes City Attorney William Goodrich CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Kiefer called the regular meeting of the Charter Commission to order at 7:03 p.m. CITIZEN INPUT Councilmember Patti Kurak was present to introduce herself to the charter Commission. She added that she talked with residents about a ward system while she was campaigning and people appeared interested in going to a ward system. People want their own representative. Kerry Manuel, 15668 Juniper Ridge Drive NW, Ramsey, stated that he is representing a group of homeowners totaling about 100, who are concerned with density. There is also a concern with the Charter. Law firms have sent letters to the City, residents have given letters and petitions to the City and the City still has not preferred to protect the Charter (speaking of Chapter 14). APPROVE AGENDA Motion by Colmnissioner Childs and seconded by Commissioner Donovan to approve t:h~ agenda with the addition of the case from City Attorney Goodrich as Case #lA: January 23, 2001 Charter Amendment Petition.
