CHARTER COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA . <br /> <br />The Ramsey Charter Commission conducted a regular meeting on Thursday, April 19, 2001, in <br />the Council Chambers at Fire Station No. 2, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Keith Kiefer <br />Commissioner Barry Childs <br />Commissioner Marguerite Henke <br />Commissioner Richard Netzloff - <br />Commissioner Timothy Vogt <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br />Commissioner <br /> <br />Dennis Donovan <br />Hannah LaMere - <br />Virginia Spain Brist <br />Kathy Rosenow - Resigned <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Kiefer called the regular meeting of the Charter COmmission to order at 7:13 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Alena Hunter, 14628 Helium Street NW, Ramsey, stated that she had prepared a statement that <br />deals with Case Number 2 and she would like the opportunity to speak dur/ng the discussion of <br />that case. <br /> <br />Kerry Manuel, 15660 Juniper Ridge Drive NW, Ramsey, stated he lives close to Reilley Estates <br />(Jack Miller). He stated that it appears that the law firm of KennedY & Graven agreed with the <br />judge to not enforce existing 14.2 of the City's Charter. He asked if they have the authority to do <br />that. It looks like a couple of attorneys have eliminated a chapter of the City's Charter. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich advised that Ramsey's City Council met in a closed session and, based <br />on legal opinion, have determined/agreed that this chapter of the Charter is unenforceable. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Chairperson Kiefer asked that Case 2 be moved to Case 1 's slot, and vice versa. <br /> <br />Charter Commission - April 19, 2001 <br /> Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
