-320- <br /> <br />established character or welfare of the neighborhood, the permit shall be referred to the Board of <br />Appeals for approval or disapproval. <br /> <br /> Subd. 6. All buildings hereafter constructed in the City should be sited on their <br />respective lots with respect to future re-subdivision as provided in Chapter 9.03 regarding <br />subdivisions, as if those future lot lines were recorded at the time the building permit application <br />is made. For the purposes of this Section, on-site sewer systems are not considered part of the <br />building. <br /> <br />9.11.02 Accessory Structures <br /> <br /> Subd. 1. Every private in-ground swimming pool or commercial fishing pond <br />shall be enclosed by a fence or wall not less than four (4) feet high to prevent uncontrolled access <br />by small children. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Any proposed accessory building should be located on the parcel of <br />land so as to allow for orderly future re-subdivision of a parcel on which the building is to be <br />located. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3. No accessory building shall be constructed on any lot prior to the time <br />of construction of the principal building. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. <br /> <br />The height of detached accessory buildings shall not exceed tWenty-two <br />(22) feet on property outside of the Metropolitan Urban Service Area. <br /> <br />The height of detached accessory buildings shall not exceed sixteen (16) feet <br />on property inside of the Metropolitan Urban Service Area. <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />The height of attached accessory buildings shall not exceed the height of the <br />principal structure. <br /> <br />Two story and/or split level accessory buildings are prohibited in residential <br />districts. <br /> <br />Shed and/or gable dormers which do not exceed one-third the length of the <br />bearing wall (sidewall) below shall be allowed in the upper level (attic area). <br /> <br />f. Knee walls, cripple walls, or cantilevers anywhere on the upper level (attic <br /> area) are prohibited in residential districts. <br /> <br />g. Gambrel roofs (barn style) are permitted. <br /> <br /> Subd. 5.
