I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO FILL THREE VACANCIES ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TASK FORCE WHEREAS, thee following changes in membership have left three vacancies on the Environmental Policy Task Force (EPTF): · Park and Recreation Commission representative, Todd Cook, was elected to the City Council and was replaced by Park and Recreation Commissioner Michael ~ Rolfe · PONDS representative, Sarah Strommen, was also elected to the City Council. Strommen remained on the EPTF as a City Council liaison which, essentially, created a tenth seat on the EPTF. · Seth Marshall resigned from an at-large seat. It was anticipated that Mr. Marshall would be replaced by Nathan Eklund, but Mr. Eklund moved to another community and was, therefore, unable to serve. · Effective August 4, 2003 Michael Reeve resigned from his seat on the EPTF as the Planning Commission representative; and WHEREAS, the City Council values the work of the EPTF and would like to have a full complement of members. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to authorize staff to begin the recruitment process to fill three vacancies on the EPTF. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12th day of August 2003. -455-
