Commissioner Deemer stated that he intends on the issue being an ongoing issue, but it does <br />need to be addressed. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to move Case #3 to follow Cas~ #6. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer, and seconded by Commissioner Swanson, to approve the <br />agenda as amended. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Vogt, Commissioners Deemer, Swanson, Ebel, <br />LaMere and Milless. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Bertzyk and Henke. <br /> <br />APPROVE MINUTES <br /> <br />Commissioner Milless inquired if Mr. Vogt voted on his nomination for Chairperson because the <br />minutes reflected that he voted yes. <br /> <br />Chairperson Vogt replied that he was not sure, but he did not believe so. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaMere inquired if the Commission felt it was necessary to make the changes to <br />minutes.' <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaMere, and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to approve the <br />regular meeting minutes dated January 17, 2002 as written. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Vogt, commissioners LaMere, Deemer, Ebel, and <br />Milless. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Bertzyk and Henke. <br /> <br />Case #1: Accept Resignation of Barry Childs & Appoint Vice Chair <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that the City received a letter of resignation from Charter <br />Commissioner Barry Childs. Mr. Childs no longer resides in the City of Ramsey. City Attorney <br />Goodrich has contacted The Honorable Judge Quinn to advise him of Mr. Childs' resignation <br />and to request direction on how Judge Quinn would like the City to proceed to fill the vacancy. <br />The Commission may also wish to appoint a Vice-Chair as Mr. Childs was serving in that <br />capacity. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaMere inquired as to the amount of time remaining in Mr. Clfilds' term. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman replied two years. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that his term expired in May 2004.
