Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #14: <br /> <br />Consider Entering into Agreement with MnDOT Relating to Intersection of <br />Ramsey Boulevard and Highway gl0 <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the City entered into an agreement with Tmxlemoon, Inc. for <br />the development of Rivenwick 3r~ Addition. This subdivision required the connection of <br />Pdverdale Drive to Highway 10 through the construction of Ramsey Boulevard, the fourth leg of <br />the Ramsey,5-Iighway .!0 intersection. The colLfiguration of this intersection is presently <br />uncertain due to the impact of the traffic generated from the Ramsey Town Center. The <br />Development Agreement limits the number of units within the Pdvenwick 3r~ subdivision until <br />the cmznection Ramsey Boulevard to Highway 10 becomes operational. The reconstruction of <br />the Ramsey/Highway 10 intersection to include the additional lanes required for the Ramsey <br />Town Center is cm'rently anticipated to take place in the near future. In order to construct the <br />south leg phor to that time, MnDOT has agTeed to accept a temporary signal system at this <br />intersection during the interim. The Council was presented with two agreements between the <br />Ci9' and MrLDOT, which must be executed before this temporary signal will be allowed. The <br />first document is Traffic Control Signal Agreement No. 85509R. Items 1 and 2 of this agreement <br />w?rich require the preparation of plans and specifications have already been completed by the <br />developer and have been approved by MnDOT. The second agreement is a Memorandum of <br />Understanding, which identifies the responsibilities of the City and MnDOT relative to the <br />permanent trafiic signals at this intersection. The City's agreement with the Pdvenwick 3rd <br />Developer in lzis current development agreement is that he will pay the costs associated with the <br />construction and si=mTalization of the P!ighway i0/Ramsey Boulevard intersection. A <br />supplemental development a~m'eement with the Developer has been prepared. This supplemental <br />agreement proposes to make .the obligations accepted by the City in these two Mn/DOT <br />agreements. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to authorize entering <br />into the Memorandum of Understanding and signed agreement 855097R contingent upon Turtle <br /> <br />-98- <br /> <br />City Council/August 26, 2003 <br /> Page 20 of 25 <br /> <br /> <br />
