Special Districts: <br /> Metro Agencies <br /> <br />Wednesd'av, December 3, 2003 <br /> <br />Wednesday, December 10, _00~ <br /> <br />The dates that we are recommending for the City of Ramsey's 2004 public budget heating and <br />reconvene date (if necessary) are as follows: <br /> <br />Initial Hearing <br />Reconvene (if necessa~) <br /> <br />Monday, December 1, 2003 <br /> 9 <br />Monday, December 8, <br /> <br />6:00 p.m. <br />6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />In order to ensure that public comments received during the public hearing(s) are given due <br />consideration, formal adoption of the levy and 2004 budget must occur at least one day after the <br />initial or continuation hearing, but no later than December 30, 2003. We are recon'nmending that <br />the formal adoption occur at the regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2003. <br /> <br />The public heari.ng dates must be certified to Anoka County by Monday, September 15, 2003; <br />therefore, the City Council must make a decision as to the dates selected for the 2004 public <br />hearing(s) at tonights meeting. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council approval of the City of Ramsey's payable 2004 proposed tax leW in <br />the amoum of $5,126,t 12 and to schedule the City, of Ramsey's initial budget public hearing on <br />Monday, December 1 _00~ at 6:00 p.m. and a reconvene date (if necessary) on Monday, <br />December 8, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend Council adopt Resolution #03-09-XX Approving the Proposed Max/mum <br />2003, Payable 2004, Tax Levy. <br /> <br />Review C~hecklist: <br />City Admin/strator <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />FC: 09/09/03 <br /> <br />-230- <br /> <br /> <br />
