FC t~ac~ <br /> <br />RESURFACE RIVER'S BEND ~43ND TITTERUD PARK'S TENNIS COURTS <br /> By: Mark Riverblood, Parks/Utilities Supervisor <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the July 22nd, 2003 Finance Committee meeting, staffwas directed to obtain bids on tennis <br />court resurfacing at River's Bend and Titterud Parks. Attached is a resolution' awarding the work <br />to Dermco-LaVine Construction for the resurfacing. The cost of performing the work at both <br />sites would be $10,992. An alternative would be to only address the 400' feet of crack at Titterud <br />Park's courts. This would be $1,600, or approximately 15% 0fperforming all of the work at each <br />of the six courts. <br /> <br />Funding Mil be fi'om the equipment revolving fund from depreciable earmngs in the amount of <br />$10,802 with the additional funding of $190 from the park maintenance budget. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends awarding the contract for bituminous tennis court construction for River's <br />Bend Park and Tittered Park to Dermco-LaVine Construction the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend Council adopt attached Resolution #03-09-~'XLXX awarding contract to <br />Dermco-LaVine Construction as the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />FC:. 09/09/03 <br /> <br />-255- <br /> <br /> <br />
