Mr. Fisher inquired if trails Would be constructed in the future. Mayor Gamec replied that he did not believe that they would because the trail would have to be constructed to close to the homes. He personally would not be in favor of constructing trails in the neighborhood. Councilmember Cook stated that he did not believe that the master trail plan included any trails within the development for connectivity and the sidewalk ordinance does not pertain to existing developments. Assistant Public Works Director Olson noted that they could construct a sidewalk on Helium Street since it would b.e a newly constructed street. Mr. Fisher replied that it would be nice to try, and correct the situation th'e 'school district has created by not busing the children. Mayor Gamec stated that that would be an issue to discuss with the school district. Joel Olivine, 15123 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Rarest, stated that the project will cut away a portion of his land and inquired if that would impact his ability to have his horses on the property. Mayor Gamec replied that if the project proceeds as proposed it would probably create a smaller pasture area for the horses, but he would have no problem with ~andfathering him in because the situation would be created by the City. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by CounCilmember Kurak, to close the public heating. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Cook, Kurak, ]~lvig, Pearson, Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None.
