Consensus of the Committee was to recommend that staff proceed with investigating the position <br />of parcel #2 with the advice of the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Pastor Anderson questioned the timeline. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen replied that he was interested in moving as quickly as the City <br />Attorney can respond. <br /> <br />Pastor Anderson noted that Lord of Life has its annual meeting the last Sunday in January, and <br />he would have to post notification several weeks in advance before a sale can take place. <br /> <br />Mr. Dom inquired if it would be appropriate for him to contact the City Attorney himself. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Committee was yes. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Kapler suggested adding the issue to the next Council agenda. <br /> <br />Case #3: 2000 Street Maintenance Program <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the City's oldest pavements are just beginning to reach the <br />end of their idealized cycle. This past summer, he and the street supervisor conducted a <br />pavement rating evaluation of the City street pavements. While a large percentage of the City <br />streets require bituminous overlays, there were few instances where complete reconstruction <br />appeared necessary. It is anticipated that the 2000 Street Maintenance Program will have a cost <br />of approximately $400,000, with $200,000 in City moneys being Ieveraged with an equal amount <br />of special assessment dollars. Mr. Jankowski reviewed a City map identifying the streets which <br />have a pavement rating of three, the lowest pavement rating for which a bituminous overlay is <br />still possible. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired if the City covers half the cost. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied yes.
