I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />FC# <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION FOR FIRE STATION #2 <br /> By: Dean Kapler, Fire Chief <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Plans and Specifications for Fire Station #2 are complete other than some mechanical details, <br />which will be complete by January 24, 2000. The City of Ramsey is required to solicit <br />construction bids for'a minimum of 30 days. <br /> <br />Construction will be scheduled to begin as soon as possible after the contract is awarded. If the <br />winter season continues along as present, the beginning of construction could be earlier than in <br />normal construction seasons. <br /> <br />Financing: <br /> <br />This project will be financed by the revenues generated from the sale of Lease Revenue Bonds, <br />which were issued in late December of 1999. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends that committee motion to City Council to authorize the soliciting of bids for <br />the construction of Fire Station #2. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to approve staff's recommendation to authorize the soliciting of bids for the construction <br />of Fire Station #2. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Based on recommendation of Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Director <br />Fire Chief <br /> <br />FC 01/11/2000 <br /> <br /> <br />
