In 1983 Rise entered the transportation business by purchasing its first van to meet the need of an increased number of people being employed in connnunity- based businesses. Reliable transportation was needed to get people to their jobs and accommodate a variety of work schedules. In thb ensuing years, the need for Rise transportation services has increased significantly and reflects additional people Rise is serving, persons who have specialized transportation needs, and people working in community businesses.
