Work with local and regional housing coalitions and agencies (such as ACCAP, <br /> Anoka County HRA) to identify low and moderate income housing needs. <br /> <br />4. Continue to provide dispersed locations for a diversity of housing styles, types, <br /> and price ranges through its land use plan. <br /> <br />5. Make efforts to plan and provide for the housing and service needs of the elderly <br /> and disabled. <br /> <br />6. Ensure zoning ordinance provisions do not create difficulty or prohibit the ability <br /> to develop affordable housing. <br /> <br />7. Plan and ensure new housing protects natural features, existing housing values <br /> and integrity, and neighborhood identity and quality. <br /> <br />8. Assure there is a range of services and adequate community facilities and <br /> improved access and linkage between housing .and employment opportunities. <br /> <br />9. Maintain or strengthen .the character of established neighborhoods and assure that <br /> all housing units are safe, sanitary, secure, and free from blight. <br /> <br /> 10. Protect the integrity and long-term viability of residential neighborhoods and <br /> reduce potential land use conflicts through zoning, site plan review, and code <br /> enforcement. <br /> <br />11. Within reason, require and enforce high design and maintenance standards for <br /> multi-family residential developments. <br /> <br />12. Require maintenance o£housing through the housing maintenance code. <br /> <br />13. Participate in programs to assist property owners with home maintenance and <br /> improvements through loans and if available grants. <br /> <br />14. Target housing rehabilitation efforts and home improvement assistance to homes <br /> that are over 20 years old. <br /> <br />15.
