I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />David Pearson, 2210 Lake Pulaksi, Buffalo, stated that he currently leases the land in question <br />and wants to know what rights the City has to determine what can be done with the property. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that they try and plan a concept of the City that will best benefit the City <br />and its residents. <br /> <br />Mr. Pearson inquired if there was a time frame on developing the area. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the City is currently more concerned with the area south of C.R. #116. <br /> <br />Mr. Pearson stated that if more roads were added to the City there will be more traffic on <br />Highway #10 and T.H. # 47. He questioned what happened to the discussions regarding a bridge <br />crossing the river. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the City is working on a location for the bridge with the City of <br />Dayton and that the City is also currently in the process of improving T.H. #47. One of the goals <br />of the City is to achieve good traffic flow throughout the City. <br /> <br />Mr. Pearson stated that the City keeps talklng about the need for more parks in the area, and yet <br />there is a County park in the City that just sits with a fence around it. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the County will be looking into how the park will be developed, but <br />suggested he discuss the issue further with the County if he had further concerns. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Zimmerman, <br />Anderson, and Connolly. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that Council has to consider several different things. The <br />residents on 149~ and 150~' were able to express their opinion, but she thinks the extension <br />affects other people and that the Council needs to look at the big picture. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated that she wants to explore what will be happening when <br />Armstrong Boulevard is improved by the County because she does not want a situation where <br />residents will be endangered by turning onto the road. <br /> <br />City Council/February 22, 2000 <br /> Page 13 of 27 <br /> <br /> <br />
