Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #O0-03-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC <br />WORKS EXPANSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has identified a need for additional building and outside storage in <br />order to serve the public works needs of the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary to acquire fee title to the real property described <br />below in order to use said property for purpose of expanding the public works facility, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has authority to acquire the real property for the public purpose of <br />expanding the public works facility by eminent domain pursuant to Minn. Stat. Chapter 117; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has the right to acquire the real property prior to the filing of an <br />award by the Court appointed commissioners, pursuant to Minn. Stats. §117.011 and §1 I7.042; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the real property which needs to be acquired is legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 3, Block 2 Gateway Industrial Park, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br /> The parcel which is impacted by the taking identified above has the following Anoka <br />County PIN': <br /> <br />PiN: 27-32-25-33-0012 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the fee owner of the real property which needs to be acquired are <br />identified as: <br /> <br />FRANK ANTILLA <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Administrator is hereby directed to acquire the real property as described above <br />in accordance with Minnesota Statutes. The City Administrator is authorized to negotiate <br />and represent the City of Ramsey in all proceedings. <br /> <br />2. Th~/t if the real property as described above cannot be acquired by direct negotiation, it shall <br /> be acquired by eminent domain. <br /> <br /> <br />
