Following off loading of material, route trucks will exit the facility and continue on their route or return to <br />the adjacent garage facility. When the semi trailers are full, they will be weighed; and transported by <br />independent contractors to their final d~dnation, Partial semi tt:ailers loads will be stored inside the facility <br />no more than twenty-four hour~. Final destinations include local recycling marke~ (Rocktenn, Waste <br />Management, BFI), out-of-state recycling markets, local solid waste landfills and out-of-state landfills. <br /> <br />Cardboard, newspaper, reeyclable containers and mixed municipal solid waste will bo accepted at tho <br />facility. The method of shipment of materials will depend on end markm. <br /> <br />Perm~lall To operate In compliance with existing rules and rcgulatiom, the project will require <br />permit~ and/or approvals from at lust four government bodies.. The City of Ramsey will require zoning <br />approval, building permit and associated approvals. Anoka County requires a permit to operate the <br />facility, The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency requires a solid waste transfer facility Iicense, The <br />Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance reviews the plan for compliance with the Slate Solid Waste <br />Master Plan, The permitting process starts will IoeaI approval. Operations cannot begin until all <br />approvals are received. <br /> <br />Propo~l Building & Site The 17,000 square foot building will be have concrete panel "tip-up" <br />walls and have sufficient h~ight to allow for 24 foot clear insidethe building. The space will be unheated, <br />with the exception ora small office.
