Following off loading of material, route trucks will exit the facility and continue on their route or return to the adjacent garage facility. When the semi trailers are full, they will be weighed; and transported by independent contractors to their final d~dnation, Partial semi tt:ailers loads will be stored inside the facility no more than twenty-four hour~. Final destinations include local recycling marke~ (Rocktenn, Waste Management, BFI), out-of-state recycling markets, local solid waste landfills and out-of-state landfills. Cardboard, newspaper, reeyclable containers and mixed municipal solid waste will bo accepted at tho facility. The method of shipment of materials will depend on end markm. Perm~lall To operate In compliance with existing rules and rcgulatiom, the project will require permit~ and/or approvals from at lust four government bodies.. The City of Ramsey will require zoning approval, building permit and associated approvals. Anoka County requires a permit to operate the facility, The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency requires a solid waste transfer facility Iicense, The Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance reviews the plan for compliance with the Slate Solid Waste Master Plan, The permitting process starts will IoeaI approval. Operations cannot begin until all approvals are received. Propo~l Building & Site The 17,000 square foot building will be have concrete panel "tip-up" walls and have sufficient h~ight to allow for 24 foot clear insidethe building.
