Staff has requested that the westerly truck entrance and west curb line be shifted <br />to the east so as to preserve the existing screening at the west property line. The applicant has <br />agreed to preserve the existing screening by shffiing the westerly truck entrance. The plan has a <br />good mix of native trees in various stages of maturity and is proposing a sufficient berm to <br />screen overnight truck parking. <br /> <br />Dennis Sharp, ACE Solid Waste, reviewed the rendering of the building. In regards to the staff <br />letter from March 2, 2000 requesting that the building move fiarther to the east, they would prefer <br />that the building stay as proposed to maximize off street parking spaceS. <br /> <br />Community Development Assistant Barnett stated that it was a suggestion of staff, but staff is <br />comfortable with the addition of the trees instead. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharp addressed the ponding issue and stated that they would prefer to have skimmers on <br />both ponds. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Wivoda, to recommend that City <br />Council grant site plan approval to Ace Solid Waste contingent upon compliance with the City <br />Staff Review Letter dated March 2, 2000 andlandscape plan as proposed. <br /> <br />Motion Carried.
