Absent: Commissioner Jensen and Commissioner <br />Nixt. <br /> <br />Case//5: <br /> <br />Request for Rezoning of Mallard Ponds; Case of Chris Bulow <br /> <br />Chah'person Anderson closed the regular portion of the PI~nn~ng Commission meeting at 7:49 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairman Anderson called the public hearing to order at 7:49 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Planner Rasmussen stated that Chris Bulow is requesting a rezoning of property proposed to <br />be platted as Mallard Ponds to facilitate the redevelopment of detached townhomes, twinhomes <br />and a future apartment complex. The property is 16.67 acres in size and is within the <br />Metropolitan Urban Service Area (]WJSA). The preliminary plat accompanying the application <br />proposes to develop the entke parcel with 17 detached townhomes, 40 twkuhomes and a future <br />apartment complex. The adjacent parcels to the'north and west (plintwood Hills 2ua-5u' Addition) <br />are zoned Planned Unit Development (PUD). The parcels on the east are zoned B-1 Business. <br />The Comprehensive ?lan Draft dated December 21, 1999, designates this area for high density <br />residential according to the Future Land Use Map.
