City Engineer Jankowski replied that he will be discussing the.MSA system with the Public <br />Works Committee, but noted that the City received a letter stating that speed bumps are not <br />appropriate on MSA streets. He explained that the City needs to look at a plan to make the entire <br />street more pedestrian friendly, but that it will take several elements. <br /> <br />Ms. Ellingson inquired if Mr. Bulow plans to build an apartment complex and tfaen sell it, how <br />will the resident be assured that the apartments will not become a low income complex. <br /> <br />Ch~--person Anderson inquired if the residents were inferring that the water table problem might <br />be increased because of the proposed development. <br /> <br />Ms. Ellingson replied that it is their concern because Dysprosium Street floods easy. <br /> <br />City Engineer JankoWski stated that he is not aware of any flooding problems on Dysprosium <br />Street and would like what segment of Dysprosium Street the residents are referring to and under <br />what conditions. <br /> <br />Valerie Hailer, 141t 1 Dysprosium Street,. Ramsey, explained that the. flooding on Dysprosium <br />Street happens after a heavy thunderstorm. <br /> <br />Jennifer ?, 142"a Avenue NW, Ramsey, questioned what is going to happen with thc i~tersection <br />of 142"a Avenue and T.H. #47. <br /> <br />City Engi~.eer Jankowski explained that the City has proposed to construct a median at the <br />intersection that would allow for left tums from T.H. #47 onto 142"d Avenue but no left tums <br />from i42"d Avenue onto T.H. #47. <br /> <br />Jennifer ?, 142"d Avenue NW, Ramsay stated that cars speed-up Argon to.get 142"a Avenue and <br />that the City is not solving any problems by adding more people to area. She feels that the area <br />should be left ~e way it is and leave the wetlands the way they are. She objects to the <br />development all together.
