Pedormance Bond <br /> <br />MediaOne suggests that the City accept any bond provided as part of a franchise <br />from the City as satisfaction for any bond requirement. <br /> <br />Person <br /> <br />The definition is not sufficiently broad to include all users of the right-of-way, <br />including political subdivisions as provided in Minn. Stat. §237.163. Please note <br />that Minn. Stat. §237.163, Subd. 6(b) specifically requires that all users of the <br />right-of-way, including the local government unit itself, must bear its propodional <br />share of the costs, MediaOne suggests that the City use the definition found in <br />Minn. Rules Part 7819.0100; Subp. 18 or, in the alternative, the definition found <br />in the League of Cities Model Ordinance. <br /> <br />Rjght-of-wa¥ <br /> <br />The City's definition varies from that of Minn. A franchise is a legal contract with a City. <br />No additional registration or registration fees shouJd be required. <br /> <br />MediaOne suggests accepting any bond required as part of a franchise in <br />satisfaction of the bond requirement. In the alternative, please consider multi- <br />year blanket bonding. The amount of the bond described exceeds the amount <br />permitted under Minn. Rules Pt. 7819.3000, <br /> <br />Sec. 4.10.07 Reqistration Information <br /> <br />MediaOne has local representatives for several different functions.
