Consent <br /> <br />PURCHASE OF HOT ASPHALT MIX TRAILER <br /> BY: Grant Riemer, Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On January 11, 2000, the City Council authorized the purchase of various <br />capitol items. One of the items approved was a hot asphalt mix trailer for <br />use by the Public Works Department. The budget for this item was not to <br />exceed $20,000. <br /> <br />Staff reviewed specifications on several models offered under the State <br />Cooperative Purchasing Venture. Of the trailers offered, staff felt that the 4- <br />ton model offered by Spaulding Manufacturing would best fit our needs. <br />The final purchase price of the trailer is $19,009.13 <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Because Council has already authorized the purchase of this item, and <br />because the price does not exceed the amount budgeted, no action is <br />necessary.
