Councilmember moved for the adoption of the following resolution: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #00-05- <br /> (eC-00-008) <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT TO EXPAND THE <br />MANUFACTURING AND WEARHOUSING AREA. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Canvas Craft Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied for a <br />Conditional Use Permit Amendment to expand the manufacturing and warehousing portion of <br />their retail business on the property legally described as follows: <br /> <br /> Lot 2, Block 3, Alpaca Estates, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br /> (the "Subject Property"). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br /> to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on May 2, 2000, and that said public hearing <br /> was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br /> by reference. <br /> <br />2. That the subject property is located in the B-3 Highway Business District and is <br /> approximately 1.24 acres in size. <br /> <br />3. That the surrounding parcels are zoned B-3 Highway Business. <br /> <br />4. That on March 24, 1992 the City issued a Conditional Use Permit to the Subject Property <br /> for manufacturing activities related to a retail business in a Highway Business District. <br /> <br />5. That the applicant has submitted a revised site plan dated March 3, 2000 that proposes to <br /> construct a 2,520 square foot addition to the existing 3,472 square foot building, the <br /> addition will be used for manufacturing and warehousing purposes. <br /> <br />6. The proposed expansion of the building will not exceed the 35% lot coverage restriction. <br /> <br />7. That the proposed use will not be unduly dangerous or detrimental to persons residing or <br /> working in the vicinity of the use, or to the public welfare. <br /> <br />8. That the proposed use will not substantially adversely impair the use, enjoyment or market <br /> value of any surrounding property. <br /> <br /> <br />
