Senior Planner <br /> <br />Overview of Professional Qualifications <br />Meg McMonigal is a Senior Planner with 14 years experience in municipal planning. Her <br />experience includes four years as a Planning Consultant to several cities and townships and ten <br />years as a City Staff planner in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Meg has a Master's degree in <br />Urban and Regional Planning, and is certified by the American Institute of City Planners <br /> <br />Project Experience <br />Meg has been involved in a wide range o£municipal planning issues. She has developed and <br />written several Comprehensive Plans, prepared zoning ordinances and facilitated ali aspects o£ <br />land development, and facilitated citizen groups. Meg analyzes planning issues, proposes ideas <br />and solutions and formally presents them in written and verbal reports to decision makers. <br />Examples of her experiences include: <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plans - Worked with citizen groups and commissions to create and <br />revise several Comprehensive Plans. Researched information, provided data, wrote text, <br />prepared policy statements and led communities through decision-making processes. <br />Completed plans for Metropolitan Council review. Plans included: Hassan Township, <br />Stillwater Township, Carver, Oakdale, Rogers, Arden Hills, Apple Valley and <br />Northfield. <br /> <br />Stillwater Township Planner - Staff the Town Board, Planning Commission and Joint <br />Planning Board. Review all planning requests, issues, and research information as <br />needed.. Guided the Comprehensive Plan development, and revised the Zoning <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />City of Carver Planner - Conduct all planning and development review. Analyze <br />requests, prepare written and verbal reports with recommendations on planning requests. <br />Update the Comprehensive Plan and revise the Zoning Ordinance as needed. <br /> <br />New Scandia Township Planner - Analyze issues and prepare written reports on <br />planning requests. Provide advice on planning and zoning matters. <br /> <br />City of Northfield Planner - Responsible for current and long range planning. Reviewed <br />all commercial, industrial and residential development projects, prepared long range <br />plans, updated the zoning ordinance and streamlined development procedures. Staffed <br />the Design Board, Park Board; Planning Commission and City Council. Developed the <br />Park Development Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
