I <br /> <br />04/26/00 <br /> <br /> JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> FOR NORTH METRO <br />HIGHWAY 10 CORRIDOR COALITION <br /> <br />The parties to this agreement are governmental units of the State of Minnesota. This a <br />made and entered into pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, 1994, Section 471 .: <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County and the cities of Coon Rapids, <br />all of whom directly border on or are in close proximity <br />to form the North Metro Highway 10 Corridor <br /> <br />Elk <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Coalition will commence a <br />address transportation and transit needs and other physical <br />associated with the improvement and expansion <br /> <br />fffort to discuss, ify and <br /> planning issues <br /> respective cities; and' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Coalition intends to utilize this <br />essential transportation and infrastructure ' <br />determining appropriate transportation pol <br />from time to time deem appropriate; <br /> <br />to guic <br /> exp~ <br /> <br /> development of <br /> 1 O, to assist in <br />Iai respective members <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Coalition desires ze this <br />development along the TH 10 C~ and <br /> <br />alii. <br /> <br />assist in marketing and guiding <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the success collabo~ <br /> ources to c sively reI <br />and <br /> <br />1 be dependent upon having access to <br /> the critical issues that impact TH 10; <br /> <br />NOW on <br />the parties foil <br /> <br />and the mutual covenants hereinafter set forth, <br /> <br /> ARTICLE I. <br />VISION STATEMENT <br /> <br /> is to create an organization through which the members that <br /> may jointly and cooperatively plan for and maximize the opportunities <br /> and transit development, quality growth and diversification along TH <br />of collaboration, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, 1994, Section 471.59. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE II. <br />ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS <br /> <br />Coalition goals include: <br /> <br />-I- <br /> <br /> <br />
