PC CASE <br /> <br />REQUEST APPROVAL OF DISSOLUTION OF THE MINNESOTA POLICE <br />RECRUITMENT SYSTEM (MPRS) <br /> Rhonda Heryla, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br />The City of Ramsey is a member of a joint powers organization known as the Minnesota <br />Police Recruitment System (MPRS). The MPRS Executive Committee, upon completion <br />of its investigation for dissolution, is now recommending to its members that the <br />organization be dissolved since it no longer serves the purpose for which it was formed. <br />The final step in dissolution of MPRS requires the adoption of a resolution to dissolve by <br />two-thirds of its members. A memorandum from MPRS highlighting these facts is <br />attached. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that City Council approve the dissolution of the Minnesota Police <br />Recruitment System (MPRS). <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br />Motion to recommend to the City Council to adopt the resolution approving the <br />dissolution of the Minnesota Police Recruitment System (MPRS). <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator <br />Assistant City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br />Police Chief <br /> <br />PC: 5/23/00 <br /> <br /> <br />
