In accordance with City Code, the applicants have submitted the required application materials. City Code does not require a public hearing prior to the issuance of a Music Festival License, and this notice of the application is being provided as a courtesy to some of the surrounding property owners. The one-day music festival event is proposed for Saturday, August 19, 2000, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Diamonds Sports Bar, 7550 Hwy. #10 N.W. The festival will take place within the Diamonds' perimeter fencing in the current softball field area. It is anticipated that approximately 3,000 persons will attend the event. Security is proposed to be provided by Diamond's current security staff with additional personnel added for the day of the event, and sound, lighting and staging will be coordinated by Winge Entertainment. Sanitary facilities will be positioned outside in two locations to properly handle the volume of people anticipated to attend the event. Water, food and alcohol will be supplied and distributed by Diamonds' current vendors. Parking and traffic control will be handled by the Ramsey Lions Club. All parking is proposed to be provided on-site. The City Council will consider the application for the Music Festival License at their regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2000. The Council meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center located at 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. The City Council meetings are open to the public.
