CASE #

CONSIDER SUBMITTING RAMSEY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
BY: James E. Norman, City Administrator

Background:

The City Council approved a Comprehensive Plan for submittal to the Metropolitan Council
during the special meeting of September 21, 1999. Subsequently, the City received two notices
of Completeness Review. With the adoption of changes to the Individual Sewage Treatment
Systems (ISTS) by the City Council during the June 27, 2000 meeting, the City is ready to
submit the Comprehensive Plan for final Completeness Review. During the work session of
June 29, 2000, the City Council requested that further changes be made to the residential
densities contained in the Comprehensive Plan. The proposed changes were to be reviewed by
the Comprehensive Plan consultant and brought before the City Council for consideration.

Because of the Independence Day holiday, the review has not been completed by the
Comprehensive Plan consultant. Staff understands that the proposed changes will be reviewed
by Mark Koegler of HKGi, on Monday, July 10. Any proposed changes will be distributed to
the City Council during the meeting.

Council Action:

Based upon discussion.

Reviewed by:

City Administrator
Community Development Director
City Attorney

CC: 071100
