ORDINANCE #00-XX <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 4 OF THE CITY CODE WHICH CHAPTER IS <br />KNOWN AS THE PUBLIC FACILITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS CHAPTER OF THE <br />CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4.80 TO THE CITY CODEr WHICH <br />SECTION 4.80 IS ENTITLED "STORM DRAINAGE UTILITY" AND WHICH <br />SECTION WAS ADOPTED PURSUANT TO CITY ORDINANCE #00-0I. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION t. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Subsections 4.80.03, 4.80.04 and 4.80.05 are amended to provide as follows: <br /> <br />4.80.03 <br /> <br />Rates and Charges <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Residential Equivalent Factor. Rates and charge for the <br />use and availability of the system shall be determined through the use of a Residential Equivalent <br />Factor ("REF"). For the purposes of this Section, one REF is defined as the ratio of the average <br />volume of surface water runoff coming from one acre of land and subjected to a particular use, to <br />the average volume of nmoff coming from one acre of land subjected to typical single-family <br />residential use within the City during a standard five-year rainfall event. <br /> <br /> Subd 2. Residential Equivalent Unit. Rates and charges for the use and <br />availability of the system shall be determined through the use of a Residential Equivalent Unit <br />("REU"). For the purposes of this Section, one REU is defined as the product of the acreage cfa <br />particular parcel multiplied by the REF. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3. Determination of REF's and REU's. The REF shall be based on <br />the relative runoff generated by any land use compared to the expected runoff from a typical <br />half-acre single-family dwelling. This relationship shall be interpreted as a function of the <br />percent of the total lot area which is improved and shall be applied as determined in the table <br />below. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
