Coun¢ilmember introduced the following resolution md moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #00-08~XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTON AUTHORIZING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AxND <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #00-21, SEWER, WATER, AND <br />STREET IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN 143tm AVENUE N.W., 141s'r AVENUE N.W. AND <br />EBONY STREET N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized this project as an element of the 2000 <br />Capital Improvement Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, plans and specifications for said project have been prepared by Hakanson <br />& Anderson and have been presented to the City Council for approval; and <br /> <br /> 'WHEREAS, due to time constraints to keep the project on schedule and properly publish <br />the bid-letting for 21 days pursuant to state law, the City Administrator prepared and inserted an <br />advertisement for bids in the City of Ramsey's official newspaper and' in the Construction <br />Bulletin commencing Friday, August 11, 2000, specifying the work to be done and stating that <br />bids will be received by the City Administrator until 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, 2000. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the publishing of the advertisement for bids, for 21 days commencing Friday, August <br /> 1 I, 2000, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the bids shall be received by the City Administrator until 10:00 a.m., Friday, September <br />1, 2000, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then <br />be tabulated, and will be considered by the proposed special Ramsey City Council meeting at <br />5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2000, in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose <br />responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to <br />address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed <br />and flied with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, <br />bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount <br />of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />139 <br /> <br /> <br />
