CEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #00-29 (WELLHOUSE NO. 3) introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #00-08- CONTRACT FOR WHEREAS, on July 21, 2000, pursuant to an advertisement for the construction of Wellhouse No. 3, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the tbllowing quotes were received: Bidder Infinity Builders Corporation Municipal Builders, Inc. Ebert, Inc. Rice Lake Contracting Corporation EnComm Midwest, LLC AmountofBase Bid $418,300.00 $422,100.00 $448,9OO.00 $458,200.00 $466,455.00 Amount of Alternate Bid $85,000.00 $88,000.00 $83,908.00 $82,0OO.O0 $87,650.00 Engineer's Estimate $440,000.00 $115,000.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Infinity Builders Corporation is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Infinity Builders Corporation in the name of the City of Ramsey for the installation of a generator and construction of Wellhouse No. 3 in the amount of $503,300.00 That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
