The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the work session to order at 6:29 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br />City Administrator Kurds Ulrich <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Planning Manager Amber Miller <br />Associate Planner Tim Gladhill. <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Development Manager Darren Lazan (arrived 6:40 p.m.) <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund (arrived 7:20 p.m.) <br />Motion by Councilmember Look and seconded by Councilmember Wise to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br />Motion carried. <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION — AUGUST 31, 2010 <br />1) Rental License Discussion <br />Planning Manager Miller stated that at the last City Council meeting, the rental ordinance was <br />introduced with a lot of discussion. One of the items brought up was definitions, so City Council <br />asked for this topic to be brought forward to a work session. Additionally, the City Council <br />requested clarification as to whether the Fire Department had the right to enter occupied units to <br />inspect for fire code issues.
