Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #00-08-XXX <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING COON RAPIDS NATIONAL LITTLE LEAGUE. <br /> APPLICATION FOR A PREIVIISE PERIVLIT FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT JR'S <br /> SALOON & FOOD IN RAMSEY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Coon Rapids National Little League. has applied for a premise permit <br /> for gambling at JR's Saloon & Food, 6141 Highway 10, Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Coon Rapids National Little League. has requested Council waive the <br /> 30-day notice provision; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming <br />requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for the <br /> Coon Rapids National Little League. to'operate lawful gambling at J'R's Saloon and <br /> Food, 6141 Highway 10, Ramsey. <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. <br /> <br />3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance <br /> Officer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota <br /> Gambling Control Board. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duty seeonded by and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 22nd day of August, 2000. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />-109- <br /> <br /> <br />
