CASE #

LIONS APPLICATION FOR A ONE-DAY 3.2 BEER LICENSE
By: Jo Thieling, Deputy City Clerk

Background:

The Ramsey Lions have applied for two, one-day, 3.2 beer licenses, for a one-day event - Happy
Days, the City of Ramsey's community celebration. The reason for two licenses is to allow beer
sales at two locations on that day - one at the City Hail campus and one at Central Park. The
celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2000. The Lions have provided the
necessary documents required. Under City Code, it is a permissible activity to grant a 3.2 beer
license to the Ramsey Lions Club.

As has been done in the past, City staff is requesting Council waive the $50 license fee. The
Lions Club is non-profit and generously ~ves to the community.

Council Action:

Motion to approve/not approve application for the R. amsey Lions Club for two, one-day, 3.2 beer
licenses for Happy Days, the City of Ramsey community celebration to be held on Saturday,
September 16, 2000. The license is for two locations - the City Hall campus and Central Park.

and -

Motion to waive/not waive the $50 temporary 3.2 beer license fee.

Reviewed by:

Deputy.
