Dirks, 17530 Chameleon Street NW, Ramsey, questioned what the City wit1 get out oft. he tower being constructed on park property, is the tower for ceil phones only, what is the cost to the City, what is the developer going to pay for, and what impact the tower would have on wildlife. He suggested constructing the pole at Central Park. Community Development Director Frolik replied that she is not aware of any negotiations thus far with respect to lease mounts. Ms. Conlin noted that the tower would be a PCS antenna and reviewed the location that was previously denied by the City. Greg Muller, 17410 Chameleon Street NW, Ramsey, staked that he lives across the street from the park and is opposed to the tower. He suggested that the.tower 'be conslxmcted in the middle of a corn field so that it wouId not have an impact on residents. Bruce Bachler, 17420 Chameleon Street NW, Ramsey, stated that he thinks the tower will have a negative impact on his property, values. Todd Honey, 17440 Chameleon S~reet NW, Ramsey, stated that he lives adjacent to the park and the area already has pipelines going through their location. He is opposed to the tower. Carolyn Wahl, 17511 Chameleon Street NW, Rarnsey, stated that she uses the park for recreational use with her horses. She stated that she is opposed to the tower because the land was dedicated as a park, not for houshag a cell phone tower. Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Nixt, to continue the public hearing to August I, 2000 and recommend imposing the 60-day extermion. Further discussion: Commissioner Johnson requested a sketch from the parks department indicating how the park would still be viable with the tower.. Commissioner Dempsey inquired about park property further northwest that wouldnot impact residential areas. Mr. Fotzeu replied that the site was looked at, but it was determined to be unsuitable. Commissioner Reeve inquired if there was a propagation map ran at 75 feet. b/fr. Fotzeu replied that they could provide one. Motion Corned. Case #6: Request for a Site Plan Review; Case of Boilermakers #647 Community Development Director Frolik stated that the City. of Ramsey has received a request for site plan review from Boilermakers #647. The plan proposes to construct a training center addition onto an existing building. The site is located at 9459 Highway 10 NW. Boilermakers are proposing a 2,016 square foot addition onto an e.'dsting building in the B-1 Business DislMct.
