Martz, 5200 155~ Lane, Ramsey, explained that he purchased a two acre lot two years ago <br />and ar that time came to City, Hall to inquire about the land in question. At that time, he was <br />informed that the land would be developed with one-acre lots, wkich is the reason he purchased <br />the property.. With the concept plan, he would have three lots in his backyard. <br /> <br />Mark Barrett, 5221 155~ Lane, Ramsey, explained that he purchased his home in October of <br />1998 and just prior to moving into his home he contacted the City to inquire about the land in <br />question and was told by the Community Development Department that there wins presently no <br />plans to develop the property, but if the land were developed, it would have to be developed with <br />one acre lots. <br /> <br />Nancy Stafford, 15650 Juniper P, Jdge Drive, Ramsey, stated that she has lived in Ramsey for i5 <br />years and when they purchased their home they were told that the land would be developed with <br />one acre lots. She explained that all of the residents realized that the land would be developed, <br />but not smaller than one-acre lots. <br /> <br />Jim Lorer_z, 15551 Barium Street, Ramsey, stated that he has been.a resident of Ramsey for 26 <br />years and that his main concern regarding the rezoning is how the traffm issue will be addressed. <br /> <br />Diana Gilbertson, 15550 Saiish Street Nut/', Ramsey, requested a show of hands from the <br />residents present who were opposed to the rezoning. The majority of the residents present were <br />opposed to the rezoning. <br /> <br />Craig SkizeI, 15554 Juniper P. Jdge Drive, Ramsey, stated that the increase in density is being <br />requested so the developer can make more money. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dempsey inquired if any of the residents had knowledge of who from City Staff' <br />made the comments about the land being developed into one acre lots. <br /> <br />iVl_r. Barrett replied that he talked to the Planrfing and Development department, but was unable <br />to recall the name of who he talked to. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson. noted that there have been changes in personnel since 1998. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik explained that if someone <br />Development received a call regarding the land, staff would have to inform <br />R-1 Rural Residential zorfing which is 1 acre lots.
