Councilmember Wise introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #11 -01 -014 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO NORTHWEST ASPHALT, INC. FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #08 -37, COUNTY POND STORM SEWER OUTLET <br />WHEREAS, on October 28, 2008 the Ramsey City Council authorized the solicitaion of bids <br />from plans prepared by staff, and; <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 08- 37,County Pond <br />Storm Sewer Outlet, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and; <br />WHEREAS, on December 9, 2008 the Ramsey City Council awarded the contract for IP #08 -37 <br />to Northwest Asphalt in the amount of $392,249.17. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommends 1st partial payment to Northwest Asphalt Inc. in the amount of <br />$159,694.20. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer Brian Olson has inspected <br />the completed work and recommends 2 partial payment to Northwest Asphalt Inc. in the amount of <br />$15,033.75. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer Brian Olson has inspected <br />the completed work and recommends 3` partial payment to Northwest Asphalt Inc. in the amount of <br />$12,644.93. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommends 4th partial payment to Northwest Asphalt Inc. in the amount of <br />$92,664.09. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommends 5` partial payment to Northwest Asphalt Inc. in the amount of <br />$29,791.62. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director /Principal City Engineer Brian Olson has inspected <br />the completed work and recommends 6 th partial payment to Northwest Asphalt Inc. in the amount of <br />$9,874.30. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer Brian Olson has inspected <br />the completed work and recommends 7` partial payment to Northwest Asphalt Inc. in the amount of <br />$7,720.24. <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommends final payment to Northwest Asphalt Inc. in the amount of $73,163.07. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />RESOLUTION #11 -01 -014 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
