Councilmember Wise introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #11 -01 -022 <br />TO PROHIBIT PARKING ON COUNTY ROAD 57 (SUNFISH LAKE BOULEVARD), FROM 1500 <br />FEET SOUTH OF ALPINE DRIVE NW TO 1400 FEET NORTH OF ALPINE DRIVE NW, IN THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA FOR STATE AID PROJECT 199 - 020 -009 (S.P. 02- 596 -11) <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County and the City of Ramsey have planned the improvement of <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard, State Aid Route No. 199 - 020 -009 from 1500 feet south of Alpine Drive <br />NW to 1400 feet north of Alpine Drive NW in the City of Ramsey, Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County and the City of Ramsey will be expending Federal and State <br />Aid Funds on the improvements of this Street; and <br />WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for parking on both sides <br />of the street; and approval of the proposed construction as a Municipal State Aid Street project must <br />therefore be conditioned upon certain parking restrictions. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the City of Ramsey shall ban the parking of motor vehicles on both sides of Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard, from 1500 feet south of Alpine Drive NW to 1400 feet north of Alpine Drive NW at all <br />times. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Backous upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />none <br />and the following abstained: <br />none <br />RESOLUTION #11 -01 -022 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
